It seems that werewolves are coming into fashion. But not any, but only those by White Wolf. Cyanide’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound RPG was announced last month. Now the developers at Different Tales, a company founded by people from CD Projekt RED, have also come to life. The studio has announced its project in the famous universe of the World of Darkness.
A game titled Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest was presented at the Future Games Show. The upcoming novelty tells the story of a girl named Maya, who explores Belovezhskaya Pushcha to find out more about the history of her family. During this mystical adventure, a brave girl will not only unravel the secrets of the great thicket, but more than once will face a choice that will affect both the development of events and the heroine herself.
As the creators of the game promise, mythology and the real history of the Belarusian-Polish reserve will be intertwined in its plot. By the way, the Walkabout Games studio, we repeat, was founded by former employees of CD Projekt RED, who worked on the first part of The Witcher trilogy (the team included a narrative designer and director). The company itself, however, has not been noted for high-profile releases: so far, it has only a visual novel Wanderlust: Travel Stories and additions to it.
The upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Heart of the Forest is published by Walkabout Games. The game will debut on PC at the end of the year. By the way, let us remind you that by the end of 2020 two more big projects about the World of Darkness are to be released: Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound from Cyanide Studio and the long-awaited sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines by Hardsuit Labs.
